The Porsche 911 type 991.2 was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015 and received a mid-cycle facelift for model year 2017. The main exterior changes included updated front and rear bumpers, new dual exhaust pipes as well as new head and taillights. A few new options were also available, but the most significant change was the introduction of the 3,0L twin-turbocharged flat-six engines across the model range. This was the first time a base model 911 had turbocharged engines in the history of the Porsche 911.
