2016 Porsche Boxster Spyder (981)
The 981 Boxster Spyder was shown to the world at the New York International Auto Show in 2015. The Boxster received similar treatment to its Cayman sibling with the addition of a 3.8L Flat-6 from the 911 Carrera S and a 6-speed manual gearbox. Production was limited to just 2 486 units.
The Boxster Spyder is the most extreme version of the 981 Boxster and was marketed as a purist driver’s car. Weight is down by 30 kgs, it is lower by 11mm and longer by 10mm when compared to the Boxster GTS. More aggressive bumpers, spoilers, distinctive humps behind the rollover hoops and model specific wheels complete the cosmetic package. Technical highlights include a slightly detuned 3.8 L engine from the Carrera S, 20 mm lower PASM from the Boxster GTS, a quicker steering rack from the 911 Turbo and the 360mm steering wheel from the GT3 RS to top it off.
This specific car was delivered in 2016 covering just over 36 000 kms since. White over black interior makes for a crisp spec. Other options include:
