The second generation of the Boxster made its debut at the 2004 Paris Motor Show and became available in 2005.

In appearance the car remains very similar to the previous generation. The most obvious styling changes are the headlights, larger side intake vents and enlarged wheel arches to allow wheels up to 19 inches in diameter. The most significant updates from the 986 series are in the interior, with a more prominent circular theme evident in the instrument cluster and cooling vents. The base engine is a 2.7L, 176 kW flat-six boxer engine, with the Boxster S getting a 3.2L, 206 kW engine. For 2007 the base Boxster received a revised engine featuring VarioCam Plus, the Boxster S engine was upgraded from 3.2L to 3.4L.

This specific car is a very beautiful and rare Porsche Boxster RS 60. This car has a manual gearbox and has done only 27 300 kms from new with a full-service history from Porsche SA.

The RS 60 was announced in 2007 to celebrate Porsches win in the 1960 12 Hours at Sebring in Florida. The RS 60 was limited to 1960 units worldwide, all with a numbered production badge on the dashboard. The car came in GT Silver exterior color only with Carrera Red all leather interior as standard. Dark Grey leather interior was available as an option.

The car also came with 19-inch Sport Design rims as standard as well as Porsche Active Suspension management (PASM) and a Sports Exhaust. Engine power was 223kW, almost 300Hp, which is very impressive for such a small car!

There are many cosmetic enhancements on the RS 60 including a black colored windscreen frame, Xenon headlamps with washers, exposed instruments dials, a specially designed steering wheel and front bumper apron.
