2005 Porsche Boxster S
The second generation of the Boxster made its debut at the 2004 Paris Motor Show and became available in 2005.
In appearance the car remains very similar to the previous generation. The most obvious styling changes are the headlights, larger side intake vents and enlarged wheel arches to allow wheels up to 19 inches in diameter. The most significant updates from the 986 series are in the interior, with a more prominent circular theme evident in the instrument cluster and cooling vents. The base engine is a 2.7L, flat-six boxer engine, which produced 176 kW and 270 Nm of torque, with the Boxster S getting a 3.2L, flat-six boxer engine, that produced 206 kW and 320 Nm of torque. For 2007, the base Boxster received a revised engine featuring VarioCam Plus, the Boxster S engine was upgraded from 3.2L to 3.4L.
This specific car is a 2005 model and has done only 65878 kms from new with a full-service history. It has a manual gearbox and is finished in Artic Silver with black leather interior with the standard 18-inch rims. The Boxster’s engine is mid-mounted, behind the seats and in front of the rear axle. This is the main contributor to the cars’ impeccable handling characteristics and also allows for two substantial luggage spaces both in the front and the rear of the car.
It is a fun, fast and practical two-seater sports car!
