1999 Porsche 911 Carrera 4
The Porsche 996 was the first 911 with a water-cooled engine and was produced from 1997 to 2006. It was the first all-new 911 since the original car with an all new chassis platform and a water-cooled engine. It had nothing in common with its predecessor and was a complete breakthrough from the original car other than the overall layout.
The first 996 models were available in a rear wheel drive Coupe or a Cabriolet. The all-wheel drive versions followed a bit later. It had a 3.4L flat-six engine producing 221kW or 300hp.
