1993 Mercedes-Benz 190E DTM Replica
The Mercedes-Benz 190E DTM is a legendary racing car that competed in the German Touring Car Championship (Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft) in the late eighties and early nineties. The car evolved and improved race by race and engine power ranged from around 300 hp in the early cars to nearly 373 hp in later cars. The most famous and dominant iteration was the 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II (Evo II). It won the 1992 championship, completely dominating, winning 16 out of 24 races! 502 road-homologation units were also built.
This car is a replica of this famous DTM car. It started as a 190E Sportline and the total build was done in just over a year. The body kit was imported from Magna in Romania. The painstaking fitment of the kit and the paintwork took six months to complete. The 2.5 16-valve engine was imported from Spain and was completely rebuilt. Dbilas throttle bodies and air cleaner were added and a custom exhaust system fitted. The car is fitted with a 5-speed Getrag gearbox and purpose-built adjustable coil overs. Front brakes were upgraded to Mercedes C32 discs and callipers while the rear brakes of the donor car were retained. The wheels were machined from a billet as OZ Racing wheels did not manufacture the right offset.
The final product is a stunning replica of the iconic 190E DTM! Car is sold with the original OZ wheels and an additional boot lid and spoiler.
