1991 Chevrolet Corvette C4
The Corvette C4 is the fourth generation of the Corvette sports car. It was produced by the American car manufacturer Chevrolet from 1983 to 1996. With the C4 the convertible returned, as did higher performance engines, for example the 280 kW LT5-engine, found in the ZR1.The C4 no longer had fibreglass body panels, like its forebears. Rear bumpers and panels used a sheet moulding compound. The fastback coupe was the first general production Corvette with a glass hatchback, for easier storage access. The roof panel is removable and the C4 came with an electronic dashboard with a liquid crystal display instrument cluster. It was also the first Corvette since 1957 with single head lights, but they were still retractable.
