1984 911 Carrera 3.2 Coupe
In 1984 Porsche replaced the 3.0 L 911SC with the 3.2 L Carrera, using the Carrera name for the first time since 1977.
A higher displacement motor was used in the new car. The volume was achieved with the same bore size as in the 3.0 L engine, namely 95 mm but with 74.4 mm stroke and combined with the camshafts from the 1978 3.3 L Turbo. Higher domed pistons increased the compression ratio and a new inlet manifold and exhaust system were fitted. The 915 gearboxes from the 911 SC were retained for the first models and was replaced with the G50 gearbox in 1987.Engine power was now up to 172 kW or 231 hp. Zero to 100 km/h took 5.4 seconds, and the top speed was 240 km/h.
This specific car is a 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe, finished in Guards red with cashmere beige cloth interior. The car has done only 74845kms from new and is in magnificent original condition! Car is complete with all books, spare keys, tool kit, jack, tyre compressor and spare wheel. This must be 0ne of the cleanest examples available, simply beautiful!
