1977 Porsche 3.0L Carrera
The first 911 was a rear engined and air-cooled car. The 911 was modified both by private teams and the factory itself for racing, rallying and other types of automotive competition. The 911 is being hailed as the most successful competition car ever, especially when its variations are included, like the very powerful 911-derived 935. This car won 24 Hours of Le Mans and other major sports cars races outright against prototypes.
The Porsche 3.0 L Carrera refers to the 1976-1977 911 Carrera, which used the same engine as the 930 Turbo, but without the turbocharger. It is know for its increased torque and grand touting capabilities. Just over 3500 units were produced, making it much rarer than its younger 911 brothers, the 911 SC and the later 3,2 Carrera.
This specific car is a 1977 model and has done 193712kms from new. It has a good service history and major service done recently. Finished in magnificent Lime Green, the car is mostly original and in very good condition!
