1975 Morgan Plus 8
The Morgan Plus 8 is British sports car, manufactured by Morgan from 1968 to 2004. The car was an instant success, and its remarkable popularity made the company famous and has been credited with saving the company in the 36 years of its manufacture. Morgan owners and enthusiasts associate the car with Peter Morgan the owner-chairman behind the design of the car.
This specific car is a 1975 model. Purchased by the current owner in 1981 from Henden Way Motors in London. The car was Nut brown and the mileage at the time was 7875 miles.
The car was restored in 1988 and was resprayed in signal red. A Rover SD1 engine was fitted with a five-speed gearbox. The engine was bored to 3.9L and engine balancing and a mild camshaft helped pushed the horsepower up to 220 hp. The car was also fitted with the EFi electronic fuel injection from later models. Further enhancements include exhaust headers and a stainless-steel exhaust. A very rare hard top is also available for the car.
This car has been well maintained and is a well-know car in the Morgan fraternity!
