1972 Land Cruiser FJ45 Pick-Up

The Toyota Land Cruiser is a series of four-wheel drive vehicles produced by Japanese manufacturer Toyota. It is Toyota’s longest running model range and by 2019 more than 10 million units had been sold around the world!

The Land Cruiser is divided into three series. The most basic version is the “heavy-duty” models which prioritizes functionality and off-road capabilities over comfort and technology. Off-road capabilities are paramount. Heavy duty models include the BJ, FJ,20,40 and 70 series.

This specific car is a 1972 FJ45 Land Cruiser that has been beautifully restored to a very high level!  No expense was spared, and the car is absolutely pristine. The FJ 45 was part of the 40 series produced from 1960 to 1984. This car is equipped with the 3,9 L F engine, an overhead valve straight 6-cylinder with a single carburettor, producing 93kW. A 3-speed manual gearbox with a high/low transfer case was standard, providing four-wheel drive capability.

Considering that the first 12 Land Cruisers were imported to SA in 1971, this 1972 car must be a very early car. A unique opportunity to own a magnificent example of the legendary Land Cruiser legacy!
