1966 Mercedes 230 SL W113
The Mercedes W113 was a two-seater roadster/coupe. The car was first introduced at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show and was produced from 1963 to 1971, available first as the 230SL, then the 250SL and finally the 280SL. It replaced the 300SL and the 190 SL and was succeeded in 1971 by the R107 series cars. Production of the 230SL commenced in June 1963. The chassis was based on the W111 sedan platform. The M127.II in-line 6-cylinder engine produced 110kW and around 200N.m of torque was available. The 230SL was offered with a 4-speed manual gearbox or the innovative fluid coupled 4-speed automatic gearbox. Much later, in 1966 a 5-speed manual transmission was available as an additional option.

The engine was replaced with a more powerful M130 from a 280-model car. It is finished in “Pagoda white” with red interior and a black canvas roof. A colour coded hardtop also comes with the car. Milage indicated is 41563 kms and there is a substantial history file available.
