1965 Porsche 356 C Coupe
The 356 was the first production car for Porsche. It was a rear-engine, rear wheel drive sports car that was very light and had unmatched handling characteristics. The car was available as a two-door coupe and as an open top. Porsche engineers continued to improve the car in the years of production. This increased the cars’ popularity and contributed to their success on the racetrack. Production started in 1948 and the first 50 cars were produced in Gmund, Austria. The factory relocated to Zuffenhausen in 1950, and production of the Porsche 356 continued until April 1965. 76 000 cars were produced of which approximately half have survived.
This specific car is a 1965 C Coupe. The car is an older restoration and is presented in slate grey exterior with a grey interior. It is in a stunning condition and although there is no significant service history available it is very evident that this car has been lovingly maintained and cared for! 1965 was the final year of production for the Porsche 356, so this car comes with disc brakes and the fuel filler cap on the fender. It is a numbers match car with a certificate of authentication from Porsche SA.
Porsche 356s are rare and a 1965, final year of production car in this condition even more so and very sought after!
