1965 Ford Mustang Hard Top

The Ford Mustang is an American sports car produced and sold by Ford since 1964. It is currently in its seventh generation, and it is the 5^th best-selling Ford nameplate. It was competing in the “Pony Car” segment of the American market and was developed as a highly styled line of sporty coupes and convertibles, distinguished by its pronounced long bonnet and shorter boot. Although the car was only officially launched in December 1965, production started in August 1964 already. Available in a Fastback, Hard top and a Convertible, the car was an immediate success and sales soared! More than 1 million Mustangs were built in the first 18 months of production. There were several updates to the first generation throughout the years. Most notably, engine capacity and output on both the 6 cylinder and the V-8 were increased, with the 260-cc V-8 increased to a 4,7L , 289 cc, producing a meaty 157 kW.
