Austin-Healey was a British sports car manufacturer that produced cars between 1952 and 1972. The company was formed as a joint venture between Austin and the Donald Healey Motor Company, a renowned engineering and design firm.

The Austi-Healey Sprite was a small open sports car. It was first announced to the press in Monte Carlo on 20 May 1958, two days after that year’s Monaco Grand Prix. It was intended to be a low-cost model sports car and to this end it succeeded; the first cars cost around 700 pounds and almost 50 000 Mk1 cars were produced between 1958 and 1961! The MK1 Sprite is affectionately know as the “frogeye” in the UK and the “bugeye “in the US. The car was very popular and was also raced very successfully in various formats.

This specific car is a 1960 “Frogeye” that has been restored to the highest level. No expenses were spared, and the car is beautiful in Iris blue with blue interior. Complete with side window shields, spare wheel, jack and tool pack. Soft top roof is black and there is a black tonneau cover as well.

This must be one of the best examples of a Sprite. It is cheap, cheerful and terrific!

Please take note that all cars can be viewed at showroom by appointment only.
