1956 Volkswagen Beetle
The Beetle is a two door, rear-engine economy car, designed to take five occupants. It was manufactured by Volkswagen from 1938 until 2003. It is officially known as the Volkswagen Type 1. Informally and affectionately, it is known all over the world as the Bug. With 21 529 464 cars built the Beetle is the longest running and most manufactured car of a single platform ever made!
This specific car is a 1956 “Oval window” that was restored a few years ago to a very good standard. Finished in Almond Green with brown interior the car is mostly original and matching numbers.
This Beetle is still running a 6-volt system, and everything works perfectly, including the famous “pop out” or Semaphore turn signals. A truly beautiful classic Beetle that can very easily be used as an everyday commute, easy to drive and inexpensive to maintain.
