1956 Volkswagen Beetle Restomod
The Beetle is a two-door, rear-engine economy car, designed to take five occupants. It was manufactured by Volkswagen from 1938 until 2003. It is officially known as the Volkswagen Type 1. Informally and affectionately, it is known all over the world as the Bug. With 21 529 464 cars built the Beetle is the longest running and most manufactured car of a single platform ever made!
This specific car is a 1956 “Oval window” that was restored a few years ago to a very good standard. This car is classified as a restomod. Although it retains the original classic vintage look it has been converted to a 12-volt electrical system and the front brakes were upgraded to disc brakes. The suspension was slightly lowered, and the car is fitted with a set of 17-inch wheels.
A truly beautiful classic Beetle that can very easily be used as an everyday commute, easy to drive and inexpensive to maintain.
