1965 Mercedes Benz 220 S W111
The Mercedes W111 is a line of luxury cars produced by Mercedes Benz between 1959 and 1971 in both saloon and coupe format. The saloon’s bodywork had very distinctive pointed tailfins that gave the car the nickname “Fintail”.
The production of the 4-door saloons started in 1959. All the saloons were fitted with M127 straight-six engines. Three models were available, starting with the entry level 220b. This car had a single carburettor engine, little chrome work, simple hubcaps and a very basic interior. The 220 S had twin carburettors. Besides more engine power, the interior was more luxurious and there was more chrome on the exterior.
This specific car is a 1965 220S, finished in Ivory with dark red interior. The car is beautiful and largely original with very little cosmetic work done over the years. Mileage indicated is only 93858 miles. The car is mechanically sound and drives very well.
This is probably one of the best and most reliable classic cars to buy. It is very stylish and will turn heads wherever you drive it!
