2008 Volkswagen Golf GTI DSG

The Volkswagen Golf is a compact small family car produced by Volkswagen since 1974. Currently in its 8^th generation, it is Volkswagen’s best-selling car and is the third best-selling car of all time. The Golf GTI is a performance version of the model range. The first Golf GTI was launched in Germany in June 1976. The initial plan was to produce only 5000 units, but demand was so high that almost 500 000 cars were produced! It was an instant success and has become a cult classic!

The Mk5 Golf GTI was first showcased at the Paris Motor Show in 2004 and officially launched in November of the same year. More than ever before the acronym GTi became synonym for compact driving dynamics.  The 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine developed 147kW and coupled to the new dual clutch gearbox (DSG), propelled the car from zero to 100km/h in a mere 6,9 seconds! Top speed was an impressive 235 km/h. The first brochure aptly read” high-performance sport has never been this much fun!”

This specific car is a 2008 model with only 51906kms on from new and a full-service history. Finished in silver with black leather interior, this car is simply immaculate and must surely be one of the best examples in the country!
