1989 Volkswagen Golf GTi 16V
The Volkswagen Golf is a compact family car, produced by Volkswagen since 1974. The car was sold worldwide across nine generations and in various body configurations.
The second-generation Golf was launched in September 1983. The Golf MK2 grew slightly in wheelbase, exterior and interior dimensions the MK1’s overall look, albeit a little bit more rounded. The MK2 GTi was first introduced with a 1.8 litre 8-valve, fuel-injected engine. In 1985 the more powerful 16-valve GTi was introduced, with a top speed well over 220 km/h!
This specific car is a 1989 Golf GTi 16V. It has done just over 209 000kms from new and is in a beautiful condition. The car is in a very good condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. It drives like a dream and is a great example of this very popular hot hatch from the eighties!
