1978 MG Roadster

The MGB is a two-door British sports car, manufactured from 1962 until 1980. The car was first announced in September 1962, as a replacement for the MGA. Variants included the Roadster, a 2+2 three-door coupe, the six-cylinder MGC as well as the eight-cylinder 2+2 Coupe, the MGB GT V8.

The Roadster was the first model of the MGB range that was produced. It was a two-seater and a small rear seat was a rare option at some point. The MGB offered slightly better passenger and luggage space than the MGA did, even if the car was about 75 mm shorter than its predecessor. A softer suspension offered a smoother ride and the bigger engine accounted for the slightly higher top speed. The four-speed gearbox was uprated, and the car was available with an optional overdrive function.

This specific car is later model, finished in vibrant Inca Yellow and featuring the black rubber bumpers. Mileage indicated is 91 163 miles. The car has been well maintained and drives like a dream.

This is a nice example of the famous British sport car and a very affordable way to enter the classic car market!
