2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS

Porsche used the E1 Cayenne to reintroduce the GTS name plate back in 2008. A nameplate now synonymous with a little more power and a little more kit across all Porsche models.

The E2 Cayenne was released in 2011 with the first GTS models arriving for the 2013 model year. The new car was significantly lighter than its E1 predecessor weighing in at over 250 kg less. So, what does the GTS badge give you over a standard Cayenne S?

While the car utilises the same 4.8L V8 engine found in the Cayenne S it has been uprated to 309 kw and 515 nm of torque. The GTS comes with a sports exhaust system as standard as well with lowered and tweaked suspension for maximum grip. Cayenne Turbo brakes with red callipers complete the performance package.

In terms of trim, the GTS came standard with the Cayenne Turbo front bumper, tinted lights all round, 20-inch wheels, blacked out trimmings and body coloured wheel arch extensions – all optional trim on lower spec Cayennes. Inside, the interior is adorned in leather and Alcantara featuring red or silver stitching as standard. Quite the package and the perfect bridge between the plain Cayenne S and the brute Cayenne Turbo.

This specific car is a 2013 Cayenne GTS. Finished in Carmine Red – a colour normally reserved for GTS models – with black leather and Alcantara. The car has covered 128 000 km from new and features a full-service history mostly with Porsche and some with a well-known Porsche specialist.
